AFSPA pushed many youngsters to the undergrounds out of fear or to avenge their dear ones victimised by the army. Every Naga name is so dear to the family, it represents social, economic, administrative status of the family or forefathers. In the headhunting time whenever enemy takes away the head of a person his or her name abandoned forever unless the enemy is avenged.

It is not imaginable that the undergrounds who have no dirt of finances would work in coal mine. Secondly the DC Mon and the police team have found no ammunitions in the vehicle in which coal miners were travelling on that particular day, then why judgement is delayed so long? Is there any different court rules against the minority?

It is high time to seriously consider the positive and negative impact of the AFSPA. At the same the general public should bring about a peaceful situation in which AFSPA will not be necessary for all time to come.

L.
