Jawaharlal Nehru on November 14.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>MOKOKCHUNG: The Mayangnokcha Higher Secondary School (MHSS) celebrated \u201cChildren\u2019s Day\u201d, together with school annual day &amp; farewell to students of Class X &amp; XII at the school auditorium, under the theme \u201cEucharisteo\u201d, Tuesday.<\/div>\n<div>Speaking on the theme, MTBA associate pastor Yanglo Pongen said that \u201cEucharisteo\u201d meant joy, Grace and thankfulness. Therefore, he said that one must consciously cultivate a sincere humility of thanksgiving to God.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>He said, sincere gratitude was the healthiest of emotion and that it would in turn add energetic sparkle in one\u2019s life. Yanglo urged the young people to turn \u2018Thanks Giving into Thanks Living\u2019, with three simple advice to make it a way of life, learn to express it with gratitude and to serve with gladness.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Short speeches were also delivered by Nungshijungla on behalf of the outgoing students and Imolemla on behalf of the freshers. Awards were given to Class XI (Science) for discipline class, Class VIII (A) for cleanest class room and Class IX (D) &amp; Class XI Sc (A) for the best conduct of morning assembly.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Earlier Yanglo Pongen inaugurated the installation of CCTV within and around the school premises. Welcome address was delivered by principal Arenla and invocation by Talinaro while the programme was chaired by Imyatetla. A special song was presented by the students of Class VIII (A &amp; B). The school choir led the school anthem. (Correspondent)<\/div>\n<div>PCS: Pike Central School (PCS), Sematilla Dimapur celebrated children day on the birth anniversary of Pt. Jawaher lal Nehru by distributing sweets and some eatable items to the students. Headmaster P. Acharjee along with the teachers distributed one prize for best student of the class and one prize for 100% attendance to every class from class LKG to 10. Shantanu Debnath of class 9 was selected as the Student of the year 2017.<\/div>\n<div>BHSJ: Baptist High School Jalukie (BHSJ) celebrated children\u2019s day-cum-parents\u2019 day at Samziuram Baptist Church campus, under the theme \u201cknowledge through faith\u201d with Rampaukai ACF &amp; member IFAD Nagaland as chief guest. In his speech, he thanked school for moulding his life during his high school life and encouraged the gathering. He concluded by sharing the poem \u201cthe human season\u201d to live our life to the best. Arangliu Rentta spoke on behalf of parents, wherein she encouraged parents and teachers.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>GAT: Grace Academy Thahekhu (GAT) celebrated 10th annual day-cum-parents\u2019 day on November 14 with Namgawi , SDO, PWD, as guest speaker. The speaker exhorted the parents and school for all round development of children. The function was hosted by Tim and Nisha. Highlights of the function included welcome song by Grace Academy students, welcome address by asst. headmaster, song and dances from the students, annual school report by headmistress, vote of thanks by Thompoi, administrator and prize distribution.<\/div>\n<div>CBS: Outstanding students of Cherry Blossoms School (CBS) were given trophy as \u201cstudents award of the year\u201d by LIC branch manager, S. Khaling Maring and Sudipta Kr Dey development officer on the occasion of Children\u2019s Day. The school is also an ambassador for LIC India in Nagaland. Maring encouraged the students to be motivated and asked the students to do their best in the coming exam.&nbsp; They also donated hot and cold water dispenser for the school.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>SMHSS: St. Mary\u2019s Hr. Sec. School, (SMHSS) Dimapur, celebrated the day by organising fancy dress competition in its school auditorium from pre-nursery onwards. Certificates to the winners and sweets and balloons were also given.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>MGMHSS: MGMHSS also celebrated children\u2019s day in a special way. Teacher Peniel and principal gave message wherein assembly was led by teachers along with variety of programs.<\/div>\n<div>RCD: Rotary Club of Dimapur (RCD) visited Rani Gaidinliu Chhatrawas run by Janjati Vikash Samiti.
