DIMAPUR: A farewell programme for retiring additional chief electoral officer, N Moa Aier was held on Monday at D-Block Panchayat Hall, Kohima.
A press release from the CEO office informed that during the programme, chief electoral officer (CEO) V. Shashank Shekhar extended good wishes to the retiring officer and shared his experiences of working with him.
Shekhar said that Aier through his work was able to contribute to society, which he said was a real source of happiness.
It is also a matter of gratitude that he is retiring in good health, and can continue to contribute to society, he added.
CEO also pointed out the important and positive roles played by families in the contributions by government employees.
Meanwhile, in his farewell speech, retiring additional CEO said that he had rendered more than 33 years of his service in the election department.
He shared that during his service, he faced varied experiences and worked wholeheartedly and diligently.
Further, he thanked his colleagues and family for the continuous support.
Short speeches were also delivered by deputy CEO Awa Lorin, assistant CEO Alila Chang and superintendent Kedolhourieno.
The programme was chaired by joint CEO Ruokuovituo Khezhie, Bible reading and invocation was said by superintendent Sivilhou Mor while special number and video of retiring officer during his career was presented by IT cell, CEO office.
