Acharya and Lok Sabha MP, Neiphiu Rio have extended greeting to the Lotha community on the occasion of Tokhu Emong.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>In a statement through PRO, Acharya reminded the Lotha community to take time and thank the almighty for His unwavering love and blessing. He also called upon the Lothas to continue to safeguard and promote the rich culture and traditions by coming together and re-dedicate to make the atmosphere conducive in towns and villages for peaceful co-existence and for all round development.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>On the occasion, Acharya also reminded the community to thank the farmers for their hard work. He also highlighted Central and state governments welfare projects for farmers such as soil testing, Kisan credit card, National Food Security Mission etc. to help in production and productivity. \u201cIt should be our responsibility that these welfare projects are made known to them and motivate them to avail the services for their benefit,\u201d he said.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Rio: Lok Sabha MP and NPF president, Neiphiu Rio in his message, termed the festivity as a time to cherish and enjoy the cultural practices handed down from the ancestors, and also a time to give thanks to God for His abundant blessings. It was also a time to revive and strengthen friendships and relationships, \u201ca time to forgive, a time to bid farewell to the preceding year and seek Almighty God\u2019s continued blessings\u201d, Rio said.
