(DIPR)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Monthly District Planning &amp; Development Board (DPDB) meetings were held in Longleng, Tuensang, Shamator and Peren districts. At the meetings, various issues concerning the districts were discussed.\n<em><strong>DC Longleng inaugurates renovated DPDB hall\n<\/strong><\/em>Longleng DPDB meeting was held under the chairmanship of the deputy commissioner (DC) Longleng, M Shayung Phom at newly renovated DPDB hall on Friday. According to a DIPR report, the DC exhorted the members to be proactive by sharing their views and suggestions to redress their issues and for better planning and development of the district.\nHe lauded the members for their cooperation towards successful completion of Phom Monyu Tribal Festival in a grand manner. The DC inaugurated the newly renovated DPDB hall and acknowledged DPDB hall renovation committee for the beautification and arrangements.\nMeanwhile, chief medical officer (CMO) Longleng, Dr. Obangjungla informed the members on eye screening camp scheduled to be held from May 4 to 6 at Phom Lempong.\nShe informed interested members to avail the opportunity and to disseminate the information to people in their community. At the meeting, Yingli College principal said the college was gearing up for development of infrastructure and other basic needs for assessment by National Assessment &amp; Accreditation Council (NAAC). He said the college was striving for improvement of amenities to meet the required standard grading under NAAC and to fulfil the criteria set by NEP. He also informed that community participation was necessary for grading and in this regard, the principal appealed to the members to extend cooperation and support both in kind and cash towards the development of the lone college. He further informed that NAAC team would visit the college on April 28 and 29.\nPowerPoint on departmental activities was presented by ADS (Supply) while fortification of rice for better nutrition was proposed by state technical officer (Fortification), Shan Ezung.\nIt may be mentioned that the fund for renovation of DPDB hall was contributed by B. S. Nganlang Phom, MLA and chairman DPDB, Longleng under LADP 2001-22 (Rs. 5 lakh)\n<em><strong>DPDB Tuensang discusses setting up of SDPDB\n<\/strong><\/em>Tuensang DPDB meeting was held in the conference hall of the DC Tuensang under the chairmanship of DC &amp; vice chairman DPDB Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant on Friday.\nAccording to a DIPR report, the members of the forum discussed on setting up of Sub-Divisional Planning &amp; Development Board (SDPDB) at Longkhim where Muthingnyuba Sangtam also highlighted the importance and necessity of a SDPDB. The house agreed and decided to forward to the concerned for approval. Proposal for upgradation of EAC Chare to SDO (C) HQ was also discussed and decided to forward to the higher ups for further action.\nCKS president, Nungsanglemba Chang also supported the agenda and briefed on the importance of upgrading EAC from logistics and strategic point of view. The registration of Alumni Association Sao Chang College proposal was considered and forwarded for consideration. Meanwhile, issue of dumping site of Tuensang was also discussed. Based on the report of PHED, water quality was checked downstream and recommended for relocating. The department sought the assistance of the state government and intervention of elected members. On removal of AFSPA from Tuensang district, the DC encouraged all the stakeholders to strive for peace and tranquility within the district so that no future AFSPA related issues arose in the district. District Forest department also presented activities on Japanese International Cooperative Agency (JICA), Nagaland Forest Management Project, its functions, targets and objectives. Later, district malaria officer presented departmental activities. DEO (School Education) was entrusted to present the department activities in the next meeting. The meeting was also attended by Muthingnyuba Sangtam, MLA.\n<em><strong>Shamator DPDB approves creation of 23 departments\n<\/strong><\/em>Shamator district held its first DPDB meeting in the conference hall of the DC Shamator under the chairmanship of advisor for IPR and V.G, S. Keoshu Yimkhiung on April 6.\nAccording to a DIPR report, DC Shamator Thsuvisie Phoji highlighted Shamator Town history and acknowledged the officers for their services in the district.\nThe house unanimously approved the creation of 23 departments and upgradation of 12 departments. The meeting also approved Longthu and Moyit village primary School in Chessore block and primary school at Khonangpong village under Shamator.\nBaptist School Sotokur Village and upgradation of Class-IX-X of Temjin Memorial School at Kuthur Village were also approved.\n<em><strong>DC Peren asks officers to remain in station\n<\/strong><\/em>Monthly Peren DPDB meeting was held in the conference hall of DC Peren, under the chairmanship of DC and DPDB vice-chairman, Sentiwapang Aier on April 6.\nAccording to a DIPR report, the DC requested administrative officers posted in all the sub-divisions as well as the heads of departments to be in station. He also asked the officers to serve with sincerity and dedication. On the agenda for upgradation of GMS at Jalukie and Samziuram to GHS, the board entrusted SDEO-cum-DEO Peren to collect necessary documents from the directorate before the next DPDB meeting. The board also agreed to approve in principle, however the official approval would be done in the next meeting.\nOther agenda discussed included Peren Town 75th anniversary celebration programme to which the DC informed the board about action plan for pre-celebration which would be organised by various departments. He called for maximum support and cooperation from all the district officials and civil societies for success of the programme. As entrusted, DPRO Peren from IPR department delivered a short departmental presentation.
