Yangseo on Tuesday informed that the NLA \u201cpassed a resolution not to accept wild animals as gifts\u201d, in order to preserve the flora and fauna of the state.<br>Speaking at the Kiphire District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) for the month of June, at Pungro, Yangseo, who is also the Kiphire DPDB chairman shared concerns on logging.<br>He opined that logging should be banned otherwise, he said, it would make the forest barren.<br>The chairman also planted tree saplings commemorating World Environment Day.<br>At the DPDB meeting with heads of offices and civil society organisations, Yangseo acknowledged civil societies organisations (CSOs) for coordinating with each other.<br>EE, PHED, Er. Akokba Sair also shared department schemes to reach each household in the district.<br>At the meeting, the house discussed proposals including\u2014construction of food processing at Seyochung, creating primary health centre (PHC) at Jenty village, sanction of fund for repair and renovation of district house of Bharat scout and guide Kiphire at Nerhema, functional drinking water in government school, upgradation of GMS to GHS station B Kiphire and approval of LADP scheme, which were were approved by the house.<br>The house also welcomed ADC Kiphire, Robin, DCPO Kaikho and EE Power, P. Pochury as new members.<br>Longleng DPDB sensitised on NIC activities, services<br>Longleng DPDB meeting for the month of June was held on June 6, under the chairmanship of DPDB chairman B.S. Nganlang Phom, MLA in the DPDB hall Longleng.<br>According to a DIPR report, the chairman while acknowledging the dedication and sincerity of chief medical officer (CMO) Longleng, Dr. Obangjungla for her humanitarian service to the people expressed happiness to see one of the DPDB member being honoured with Phom Day Award 2022 for her exemplary service.<br>Nganlang also urged upon the members to extend full cooperation and support to the forthcoming State Badminton Championship Tournament to be held in Longleng from August 22-27.<br>Meanwhile, deputy commissioner (DC) Longleng, M. Shayung Phom while sharing \u201cthe bitter experience\u201d of pandemic thanked frontline workers and officers for their services.<br>Asserting that this was his last DPDB meeting in Longleng, DC called on the two elected members of the district and suggested to discuss with DPDB members while selecting iconic projects under LADP.<br>The DC also thanked DIO, National Informatics Centre (NIC) Mokokchung, Temsu Wathi Ao who is looking after NIC, Longleng to resolve poor internet connection in the district and for providing internet facility at Yingli College and SP office.<br>While presenting the activities, service provided, recruitment and functioning of NIC, Temsu Wathi emphasised on the importance of information technology for running the office efficiently.<br>Informing that NIC firewall security with seven layers protect is the best security in the world free from hackers, DIO suggested the creation of official email accounts under NIC domain for assured protection and security.<br>He informed that NIC provided free internet connection to government offices provided the cost of cable connection be borne by the responsible department.<br>DIO said NIC team Longleng was planning for standby line in the district alternative to BSNL to provide uninterrupted internet facilities in the district.<br>At the meeting, the board approved LADP 2022-23 for 49 A\/C Tamlu and 50 A\/C Longleng and recommended grant of financial assistance to Lamling Vesta Elementary School, Longleng.<br>The board also constituted an organising committee headed by DC &amp; DSC chairman and members from government officers and CSOs for hosting state badminton championship tournament in Longleng.<br>Earlier, DBA president Longleng, Er.
