According to PRO HQ IGAR (North), the aim of the lecture was to enlighten the students about the opportunities of a career in the armed forces. Youth were also informed about the upcoming recruitment rally in various Army\/ CAPF. The school authority and civil administration also promised to create awareness about career planning and employment opportunities for recruitment in various services.<\/div>\n<div>22 AR: 22 Assam Rifles conducted free medical camp and medical check-up on September 14 at Government Middle School, Ziphu Village, Phek district. According to PRO HQ IGAR (North), the aim of the medical camp was to provide free medical treatment and check-up to local populace and students of remote areas devoid of requisite medical facilities. A specially constituted team under Assam Rifles Medical Officer, assistant commandant, Balmuri Avanish, examined 42 people. The team also also carried out medical check-up of 32 students of Government Middle School, Ziphu. Free medicines were provided to the ailing. Apart from the medical assistance, basic knowledge on epidemic diseases including precautions was also imparted.<\/div>\n<div>36 AR: 36 Assam Rifles organised a drawing cum poster making competition under the theme \u201cHIV &amp; AIDS awareness\u201d on September 13 at St Francis School Tening under Peren district. According to PRO HQ IGAR (North), the aim of the event was to spread awareness about HIV &amp; AIDS and to identify and honour the skills of budding talents. The event was attended by 29 students who participated in the competition and produced imaginative paintings highlighting preventive measures of HIV &amp; AIDS. The event was followed by felicitation of the winners.<\/div>\n<div>41 AR: 41 Assam Rifles conducted a lecture cum awareness programme on conservation of Amur falcon migratory bird on September 8 at Old Sitikima village. According to PRO HQ IGAR (North), the aim of the event was to educate and spread awareness amongst the locals about conservation of environment and the migratory bird Amur Falcon. The event was attended by a total of 48 locals of Old Sitikima and neighbouring villages. GBs and locals of Old Satikima and neighbouring villages also had an informal interaction with troops of Assam Rifles.<\/div>\n<div>32 AR: 32 Assam Rifles organised a drawing cum poster making competition on the theme \u2018HIV &amp; AIDS awareness\u201d on September 8 at Government Middle School, Bamanpukhri-B Dimapur. According to PRO HQ IGAR (North), the aim of the event was to spread awareness about HIV &amp; AIDS and to identify the skills of budding talents. &nbsp;The event was attended by approximately 45 students from various standards that enthusiastically participated in the competition and produced imaginative paintings, highlighting preventive measures of HIV &amp; AIDS.
