{"id":27521,"date":"2017-09-19T00:28:02","date_gmt":"2017-09-19T00:28:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2017\/09\/19\/npf-mkg-division-holds-general-meeting-adopts-5-point-resolution\/"},"modified":"2017-09-19T00:28:02","modified_gmt":"2017-09-19T00:28:02","slug":"npf-mkg-division-holds-general-meeting-adopts-5-point-resolution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2017\/09\/19\/npf-mkg-division-holds-general-meeting-adopts-5-point-resolution\/","title":{"rendered":"NPF Mkg division holds general meeting; adopts 5-point resolution"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/NXFTVCVAFYQHWDZZHYNG.jpg><\/p>\n<div>DAN chairman and NPF legislature party leader, Kuzholuzo Nienu MLA, termed the present crisis within the NPF party as a \u201cblessing in disguise\u201d giving opportunity to the party to \u201csegregate the sheep from the wolves\u201d and that the time had come for the NPF party to select the best leaders who were endowed with honesty, integrity, uprightness and principles.<\/div>\n<div>A press note by NPF central headquarters, media &amp; press bureau stated that Azo while addressing a mammoth gathering at Mokokchung town hall during the NPF Mokokchung division general meeting, asserted that the present government led by TR Zeliang was \u201cmulti-dimensional corrupt government.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>DAN chairman also said that with the recent development within the party, the NPF party has finally freed itself from anti-incumbency factors and now owed no obligations towards any individual whatsoever. The party was now in a position to allocate party tickets to the best winnable candidates without any fear or favour in the forth-coming general elections, he added.<\/div>\n<div>Alleging that the unconstitutional ministry of TR Zeliang will not be able to go beyond October as all the forces were working against them such as the \u201cmatter of office of profit, disqualification case, CBI enquiry on Pillai\u2019s scandal, fuel adulteration and PDS scams just to name a few,\u201d Nienu said that the present ministry cannot survive.<\/div>\n<div>Referring to the peace process, the DAN chairman said that any final agreement that was arrived at should be \u201cinclusive, honourable and acceptable to all the Naga people.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>However, the MLA maintained that if any settlement is yet to arrive, the NPF party should fully gear up and prepare for the coming election for the welfare of the Naga people, with younger and capable candidates and set up women candidates as well.<\/div>\n<div>Spokesperson of the NPF legislature party Yitachu, MLA, in his address alleged that the BJP at the centre was desperate to install a BJP government in Nagaland as \u201cour state is a Christian state so that the BJP can propagate the world that is tolerant of every religion.\u201d&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>On chief whip issue, Yitachu maintained that if the court can recognise the TR whip, the 10 MLAs were ready to face disqualification anytime.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>However, law would take its own course of action at the right time and warned the 36 MLAs who voted against the Kiyanilie whip to face the consequences, he said. He also urged upon the party workers not to be controlled by the MLAs since \u201cit is the party which gave birth to the MLAs.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>Famers wing president, Lanukaba who also spoke on the occasion stressed the need for \u201cpeople\u2019s movement to revive the party and bring new leaders who can truly work for the people and not for themselves.\u201dAsu Kheyho, ex-MLA stated that NPF was the only party for the Nagas to preserve their identity.<\/div>\n<div>Later, the Mokokchung division also adopted five-point resolutions. It resolved to give a clarion call to the misled and misguided friends of the division to mend ways and come back home to the rightful owners of the NPF party. The division saluted the resolve and determination of the 12 MLAs for their absolute support and dedication to the party and its rank and file. It resolved to forward candidates to the people of the district to elect as leaders in the coming election.
