Therie alleged that regional parties have failed to defend the people of Nagaland from communal forces.<\/div>\n<div>According to NPCC media cell, Therie while addressing party workers during NPCC district tour programme which covered Longleng, Zunheboto and Wokha districts from September 14-16, said that failure of regional parties to the people of Nagaland would erode the special provisions like Article 371 under the Constitution of India, religion, culture, customs and traditions of the Naga people.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Accusing the present legislators for lack of ideologies, principles or policies for the welfare of the citizens, Therie said they have only managed to install an opposition-less government to corrupt at every level.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>He said the power mongering of the NPF government has resulted in multiple defections and four chief ministers in a single term.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Stating that the patience of the people has run out, Therie said that only the Congress can provide the change the people need at this hour.<\/div>\n<div>Therie also alleged that despite the BJP\u2019s threat to eliminate Christianity from India by 2021 and to plant the \u201ctrishul\u201d in Nagaland by 2019, not one voice was raised by the MLAs against the BJP\u2019s Hindutva, uniform civil code or the growing intolerance across the nation propagated by BJP forces towards minorities and anyone who voiced against them.<\/div>\n<div>NPCC president claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s failed demonetization and ill planned GST implementation has reduced the nations GDP to 5.7% in the first quarter of 2017-18 fiscal compared to a high of 10.5% during previous Congress Government.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>He alleged that growing negative international trade resulting from the BJP\u2019s intolerance towards Christianity and other religions has left fewer resources for allocation to pay for CSS and other social schemes.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Therie blamed the flawed economic policies of the Modi Government for India\u2019s shrinking economy.<\/div>\n<div>NPCC president also appealed party men and women to reach out to every household and not to fear \u201cmoney power\u201d in elections as it was no longer the equation. He further appealed to the electorate to study the policies and programmes of the party and make a firm decision to elect God-fearing candidates and a clean government.<\/div>\n<div>Others from the team who addressed the programmes included general secretary AIMC IC-NE, Jarjum Ete; general secretary NPCC, Jonathan Ao; general secretary NPCC, Capt G. K. Zhimomi; president, NPMCC, N.
