GPRN\/NSCN Monday, accused the 38 Assam Rifles (C-Coy) of Meluri post under the commandership of Maj. Sohail Sheikh and 2nd i\/c Capt. Raishing Tangkhul of \u201ccontinued self-styled transgressions and implicating\/tainting the Naga army cadres of the area under dubious charges time and again.\u201d
Strongly condemning the 38 Assam Rifles C-Coy of Meluri Post, GPRN\/NSCN though its MIP said they have \u201conce again engaged to orchestrate\u201d in apprehending its member \u201cCaptain\u201d Mhabemo Lotha on \u201can ungrounded accusation\u201d of possessing a country-made pistol on June 22, 2022 at around 11:30pm at Meluri town.
On that night, MIP said that \u201cCapt.\u201d Mhabemo Lotha considering the prevailing congenial atmosphere and in response to the call from 2nd i\/c of the AR Coy, had gone to meet him without any inhibition at Meluri main town \u201csensing some important bilateral matter.\u201d
However, MIP said that on reaching the spot, he was immediately apprehended and charged of possessing firearm, which \u201cthey (38 AR, C-Coy) have surreptitiously planted on him (the Naga army officer).\u201d
MIP claimed it was \u201ca matter of unfounded implication for a deceitful motive and interest\u201d since the \u201cNaga army cadres are neither assigned with nor issued any sort of firearms in this prevailing peaceful situation in the area.\u201d
MIP stated that \u201csimilar vicious incident and activity\u201d was created in February 2022 by the same C-Coy at Meluri town, which led to the death of a Naga army cadre \u201cSgt. Maj.\u201d Turhuli Thupitor in Meluri police station custody \u201cunder queer manner.\u201d
MIP stated that \u201cthis continued unethical and contemptible act\u201d of C-coy with total disregard and contempt of Ceasefire Ground Rules (CFGR) undermined the venerable mutual relationship reached so far between the government of India and GPRN\/NSCN and \u201cprospective peaceful conclusion of the Indo-Naga political issue.\u201d
Stating that it was \u201cseriously contemplating the unacceptable conduct and insinuating adventure\u201d, GPRN\/NSCN has, therefore, advised the 38 AR (C-Coy) of Meluri Post to refrain from their \u201ccontinued rogue and provocative indulgences upon the Naga national workers\u201d and not act as a detrimental element upon the \u201cmuch awaited Indo-Naga political solution.\u201d
