{"id":286221,"date":"2022-08-06T03:23:21","date_gmt":"2022-08-05T21:53:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nagalandpost.com\/?p=286221"},"modified":"2022-08-06T03:23:23","modified_gmt":"2022-08-05T21:53:23","slug":"new-book-by-naga-writer-avinuo-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2022\/08\/06\/new-book-by-naga-writer-avinuo-released\/","title":{"rendered":"New book by Naga writer Avinuo released"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A book titled, \u201cWhere The Cobbled Path Leads\u201d written by Avinuo Kire was released by Kohima College Kohima (KCK), vice-principal, Keneilesa Neikha, during a programme at KCK conference hall on Friday.<br>Sharing the publisher\u2019s note, Penguin Random House, commissioning editor, Rea Mukherjee, wrote that she first encountered Avinuo\u2019s writing when she read one of her earlier books. After that, Rea said she was on a mission to find a way to reach out to the writer to get to know her and to discuss more storytelling with her.<br>Rea narrated how the two of them got in touch in an unexpected manner as destiny would have designed it.<br>She expressed her immense joy to publish Avinuo\u2019s new book, Where the Cobbled Path Leads. \u201cThe life she has breathed into her book, the characters she has formed, the story she has created, the themes she has discussed and most importantly, the rich history and culture of Nagaland that is she has so beautifully weaved into her narrative is nothing short of masterful storytelling,\u201d Rea said. She hoped that the book would reach far and wide and receives the love, admiration and respect it deserves.<br>She further hoped to publish many more of her books and to further deepen the relationship as author and editor.<br>She expressed regret for not being able to be there today to celebrate with the writer.<br>However, she expressed her deepest gratitude to the writer for trusting the publisher with her creation. \u201cMay we all learn to love, grow and embrace what life might throw way. We\u2019re more resilient than we think we are,\u201d Rea said in her note.<br>Earlier, the launch was chaired by KCK assistant professor, Dr. Theyiesinuo Keditsu, while associate professor and HoD (English) Megovono \u00dcsou delivered the welcome note. A prayer was offered by assistantt professor, C Vezholu Kotso while publisher\u2019s note was read by assistant professor, Dr. Emisenla Jamir.
