{"id":286223,"date":"2022-08-06T03:24:16","date_gmt":"2022-08-05T21:54:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nagalandpost.com\/?p=286223"},"modified":"2022-08-06T03:24:17","modified_gmt":"2022-08-05T21:54:17","slug":"gaga-confirms-joker-folie-a-deux-casting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2022\/08\/06\/gaga-confirms-joker-folie-a-deux-casting\/","title":{"rendered":"Gaga confirms \u2018Joker: Folie A Deux\u2019 casting"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the makers of \u2018Jokers\u2019 announced its sequel set for 2024 release, speculations were rife that actress-singer Lady Gaga would essay the role of the clown prince\u2019s partner in crime Harley Quinn.<br>But now, the \u2018Hold My Hand\u2019 hitmaker has confirmed her casting in the film by posting a musical teaser to social media.<br>The sequel, officially titled \u2018Joker: Folie A Deux,\u2019 will star Gaga opposite Joaquin Phoenix, returning to the role of Joker after winning the Oscar for best actor thanks to his performance in the 2019 first instalment, reports \u2018Variety\u2019.<br>The teaser is set to \u201cCheek to Cheek,\u201d which Gaga has famously covered in her music career alongside Tony Bennett. Director Todd Phillips posted the screenplay\u2019s cover on Instagram back on June 7, revealing the \u2018Folie A Deux\u2019 subtitle.<br>According to \u2018Variety,\u2019 the phrase refers to a shared delusional disorder, and Joker\u2019s only real companion &#8211; other than Batman, anyway &#8211; has been Harley, a character first created for \u2018Batman: The Animated Series\u2019 in the early 1990s.
