BJP Mokokchung district on Tuesday, organised a workshop on \u201cgood public leadership\u201d at multipurpose hall with Rev. Dr. I Imkong Jamir (World Aid Mission) and senior journalist & writer Aso Imsong as resource persons.
In a press release, BJP Mokokchung district media cell informed that during the programme, Aso Imsong spoke on the topic \u201ctraits and characteristics of a good leader\u201d.
He said that a good leader should be hardworking, good communicator, have a good lifestyle and have a vision.
Speaking on the topic \u201c\u2018roles and responsibilities of a public leader \u2013 do\u2019s and don\u2019ts\u201d, Rev. Dr. Imkong Jamir said a leader should be a motivator, a guide and someone who garners public support.
\u201cHe should have self-awareness to lead the people\u201d, Rev. Imkong stated.
Sharing that this was the first time that spoke at a leadership workshop organised by a political party, the resource persons expressed hope that the workshop would be a starting point from which, leaders would interface, learn and lead people.
At the programme, BJP Mokokchung district office also handed out appointment orders to different capacities in the party\u2019s organisational set up.
Delivering the keynote address, BJP Mokokchung district president Imolemba Jamir said BJP was prepared to face the political scenario of Nagaland.
Imolemba said if the seat sharing of 40:20 ratio between NDPP and BJP should be accepted, then it was \u201ccommon sense\u201d that 60% of municipal seats be reserved for BJP in the forthcoming urban local bodies\/town committees.
He also stated that if Dimapur with five constituencies could be allotted three NDPP tickets then Mokokchung district with 10 constituencies should also be allotted at least four BJP tickets as per the seat sharing arrangement.
