{"id":29428,"date":"2017-08-13T00:23:19","date_gmt":"2017-08-13T00:23:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2017\/08\/13\/kandi-area-holds-first-inter-school-literary-competition\/"},"modified":"2017-08-13T00:23:19","modified_gmt":"2017-08-13T00:23:19","slug":"kandi-area-holds-first-inter-school-literary-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2017\/08\/13\/kandi-area-holds-first-inter-school-literary-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"Kandi area holds first  \u2018inter-school literary competition\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/><\/p>\n<div>Kandi area organised its \u201c1st inter-school literary competition\u201d on August 8 under the theme, \u2018\u2019Untapping young minds\u201d, at Indoor Stadium-cum-Community Hall, &nbsp;Sishunu village.<\/div>\n<div>In the programme, Rengma Selo Zi, president, Kenneth Kath, said many minds remain untapped due to lack of opportunities, especially in the rural areas.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Citing examples of successful personalities, he encouraged the students to identify their strengths and to focus on them. He also assured that their potentials would get stronger if only they were willing to brave the obstacles and challenges.<\/div>\n<div>A colourful cultural fashion walk was displayed by students of Lami School, followed by a special number by Senpenlo Tep and friends.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>The competitors participated in three events: drawing, essay writing and story writing competitions. The second phase of competition began with spelling bee. 41 students from three schools participated in a total of five disciplines.<\/div>\n<div>Earlier, the programme was chaired by Amos Seb from GHSK, invocation prayer was said by Sishunu Baptist Church, Pastor Wachu Kath, welcome address was delivered by Benkiya Apon from GHSK, Mitsalo Kath from GHSK delivered the vote of thanks and benediction was said by Calvin from GMSK.<\/div>\n<div>The literary competition was initiated by Government High School, Kandinu in collaboration with Government Middle School, Kandinu and Lami School, Tsonsa.
