As part of the department of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (ESD&E) initiative to skill the youth in Nagaland, \u201cdemand driven skill development trainings in construction sector\u201d got underway at Kohima village and Jakhama under Kohima district on Monday.
Kohima Village: The final and 12th lap of the demand driven skill development training in construction sector for \u201cmulti skilled technician\u201d was declared open by additional secretary, Labour and Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Kovi Meyase at Kohima village on Monday.
According to a DIPR report, the additional secretary in his speech, said the department has been working for the welfare of the youth in various technical and vocational trades with the sole focus to promote employability and self-employment among the youth.
He said that this multi skilled technician programme was designed in an innovative way to skill the youth for multiple jobs roles. The inaugural programme was chaired by the deputy director, Zubemo Lotha Tsanglao while short speeches were delivered by Kohima Village Gazetted Officers\u2019 Association president, Medozhalie Pienyu and NBOCW chairman Kekhrie Yhome.
A total of 40 youths from different villages in Kohima district would be skilled under this training programme.
Jakhama: The inaugural program for demand driven skill development under construction sector was held on Monday, at town hall, Jakhama with advisor for Youth Resources and Sports, Er. Zale Neikha as special guest.
According to a DIPR report, the advisor in his address, encouraged the participants to be sincere and dedicated while taking up the skill training provided by the department.
Labour and Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, secretary, Rajesh Soundararajan and director, Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Chiden Yaden also spoke at the programme.
Introductory speech was delivered by Zynorique Initiative Society (ZIS) chairman, Richard Belho.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by regional employment officer Zuthunglo Ezung while welcome address was delivered by SDO (C) Jakhama Ruopfukuotuo Noudi.
