It pointed out that Nagas’ lives were impacted everyday by the decisions made by their leaders.
NTCA observed that Nagas had been lately consumed by the agenda of upcoming Assembly election. Many people were lobbying for their candidates, and yet a dark cloud of uncertain and capricious politics appeared to loom large over their minds, the association noted.
There had been a lot of groups speaking out for solution and not election, with even the State government vouching for the solution first. However, the association said all these activities were nothing new to the Nagas, adding that going by what had happened in the past, it appeared that the Nagas were still stuck in a vicious circle. It is in this context that the association said signing of Joint Accordant between WC-NNPGs and NSCN (I-M) on September 14, 2022 came as a breath of fresh air to the redundant political debacle. It promised realistic solution to existing apathy and infuses hope and dignity to the Nagas as people, the association added.
With this signing of accordant, NTCA said there was every reason for the Nagas to be hopeful for a real solution. It felt that Government of India now would not have the luxury to freely play around with the Nagas and create fragmentation in the society at will.
For long India had been controlling the Nagas at the expense of their divisions. However, with the signing of agreement, the association said Nagas were hopeful that there would be a positive turn in the history of Nagas. NTCA said it was committed to such positive statesmanship and vowed support.
KUD: Konyak Union Dimapur (KUD) has welcomed the signing of historic September Joint Accordant between WC, NNPGs and NSCN (I-M) at Sovima on September 14, 2022 in the presence of Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR).
KUD president Mosa Konyak and general secretary M Jeange Yanlem in a press release said at this hour when all Nagas were longing and yearning for peace and unity, the historic signing of the agreement to work together in the spirit of love and to desist from all forms of armed violence and to refrain from indulging in violence of words through print and social media among Naga political groups and general public brought a refreshing spirit of forgiveness, love and unity.
They hoped that this bold and open declaration would bring Naga brothers closer and provide wisdom to all signatories to work out the differences and work in unity to bring a final solution and settlement to the decades-old Indo-Naga political issue.
The KUD leaders further thanked FNR led by Rev Dr Wati Aier and his team for their ceaseless efforts to bring the divided Naga brothers into one platform of peace, love and reconciliation.

Nagaland Theological Colleges Association (NTCA) and the Konyak Union Dimapur (KUD) have welcomed the signing of ‘September Joint Accordant’ between WC-NNPGs and NSCN (I-M).NTCA: The association in a statement acknowledged the courage to take risk by both the political groups in order to come to this agreement, mentioning that it understood that both sides had […]

[679

post-297370","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-nagaland-news
["GET
