Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) president Chingwang Konyak has asserted that he wants to ensure NDPP-BJP alliance returning to power with a comfortable majority.
NDPP chief assured that the next government would be more effective with both NDPP and BJP learning from experiences.
According to NDPP media & communication committee, the party president said this during a meeting with party members including office bearers of NDPP Wokha region, its frontals and four assembly constituencies under NDPP Wokha region on October 17, 2022,
Chingwang said that after nine months formation of NDPP, the party had gone to election against all odds in alliance with BJP. He said that because of a strong leadership under Neiphiu Rio, the party came to power.
Chingwang said that without a strong leadership, no political party or government could function smoothly.
NDPP president called upon the party workers to work cohesively for the victory of NDPP Wokha region\u2019s candidates.
Stating that votes for party candidates would \u201cnot fall from the sky\u201d, the party chief said their victory would be decided by the grassroots voters.
\u201cHence we must all work accordingly, and win the favor and support of the respective electorate voters,\u201d Chingwang said.
At the meeting, NDPP Wokha region presented its report and also submitted a memorandum, which included appeal for party\u2019s consideration towards sanction and grant of long-awaited needs of the party\u2019s region. Party president after gave a hearing to all the issues raised by the region.
