Hollywood star Chris Evans\u2019 mom Lisa thinks it was \u201cabout time\u201d her son was named Sexiest Man Alive.
The 41-year-old actor was revealed to have taken People magazine\u2019s annual accolade earlier this week and his mother Lisa has said she will be telling \u201ceveryone\u201d about his win, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
Speaking to Boston\u2019s WHDH TV 7NEWS news channel, she said: \u201cMy reaction was, yeah, of course, it\u2019s about time!\u2019 I was bragging when he was potty trained, I was bragging when he was walking, but this is something that everyone will know about. I\u2019m pretty happy about it.\u201d
While Lisa was unsurprised by the \u2018Avengers: Endgame\u2019 actor\u2019s win, she revealed her son was shocked.
She said: \u201cHe\u2019s always amazed at his own success, he\u2019s amazed at what people think of him.\u201d
And though she is proud of Chris\u2019 new title, she thinks his friends will see it as a reason to poke fun at him.
She said: \u201c(His friends) will absolutely give him grief about it, but – they\u2019re very funny.\u201d
Evans said when his win was announced that his mom would be \u201cso happy\u201d about it.
He said: \u201cMy mom will be so happy. She\u2019s proud of everything I do, but this is something she can really brag about.\u201d
The \u2018Knives Out\u2019 star admitted earlier this week he has to take better care of himself now that he is in his 40s.
He said: \u201cIn the good ol\u2019 days I could eat whatever I wanted, do a couple workouts per week and be okay.
\u201cThat is not the case anymore. If I have two beers, I wear it. I haven\u2019t had to play a role like Captain America in a while so things like diet and workout regimen haven\u2019t been on my radar. But getting older, things are clicking and sore and it\u2019s harder to wake up, you have less energy\u2026
