{"id":316593,"date":"2022-12-15T01:57:55","date_gmt":"2022-12-14T20:27:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.com\/?p=316593"},"modified":"2022-12-15T01:57:58","modified_gmt":"2022-12-14T20:27:58","slug":"lords-of-lockdown-selected-for-intl-film-fest-rotterdam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2022\/12\/15\/lords-of-lockdown-selected-for-intl-film-fest-rotterdam\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Lords of Lockdown\u2019 selected for Intl Film Fest Rotterdam"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>\u201cLords of Lockdown\u201d, a documentary exploring the heroism that common people of India during the nationwide COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, has been chosen for the 2023 International Film Festival Rotterdam.<br>\u201cLords of Lockdown\u201d is one of the six films that will be screened under the \u2018Focus: The Shape of Things to Come?\u2019, a segment that looks at the sociopolitical development of India over the past three decades.<br>Mihir Fadnavis has directed the documentary, which has Navin Shetty and Anurag Kashyap on board as producers.<br>Fadnavis, whose film previously played at the New York Indian Film Festival and Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, said he is humbled by the international recognition for the movie.<br>\u201c\u2019Lords of Lockdown\u2019 is a reflection of how the common man of India took the baton in his own hand and not only helped himself but others too.<br>\u201cThe pandemic taught us the eminence of helping each other selflessly which is also the essence of the film. I am elated over the recognition that \u2018Lords of Lockdown\u2019 has been receiving,\u201d the director said in a statement.<br>For Shetty, \u201cLords of Lockdown\u201d will always be a special film.<br>\u201cOur film is a tribute to all the frontline workers, all the policemen, all the common people who went out of their way, defied the odds and reinstated faith in humanity.
