{"id":32287,"date":"2017-06-20T23:50:54","date_gmt":"2017-06-20T23:50:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2017\/06\/20\/4-lane-work-cannot-be-stalled-ntc\/"},"modified":"2017-06-20T23:50:54","modified_gmt":"2017-06-20T23:50:54","slug":"4-lane-work-cannot-be-stalled-ntc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2017\/06\/20\/4-lane-work-cannot-be-stalled-ntc\/","title":{"rendered":"4-lane work cannot be stalled: NTC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/><\/p>\n<div>Drawing attention to the reports of four lane project work being stalled after contractors were threatened, the Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC) reiterated that \u201cunder any circumstances the ongoing work execution cannot be allowed to be stalled by anybody.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>NTC media cell expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways for providing fund to the ongoing 4-lane Dimapur-Kohima highway . NTC said for the state of Nagaland, it was the best opportunity to complete the project within the scheduled time. NTC said after completion, the four-lane highway would become one of the best assets of the state.<\/div>\n<div>It reminded the state government that unhindered execution of the work, ensuring work quality as per specifications, completion of the project on time and security to contractors and field workers were the primary duty of the present day government.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>NTC maintained that as much as the credit for successful completion of the project would go to the government, that much discredit would also go to the government should anything go wrong with the project.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>In this regard, NTC called upon the state government \u201cnot to soft paddle with any element trying to stall the progress of the work.\u201d It also made a clarion call to all the contractors \u201cnot to succumb to any pressure from any quarter for demand of money which will have immense ramifications.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>NTC further advised those facing any inconvenience on account of threats and interferences, to report the same to the appropriate authorities, instead of discontinuing the work.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>NTC also warned contractors not to connive with unwanted and destructive elements with intention to take undue advantage of the people of Nagaland. \u201cWe expect them to be transparent and prove their worth,\u201d it added.<\/div>\n<div>Meanwhile, NTC appreciated the \u201csincere concern\u201d shown by ACAUT and said the latter had been \u201ccleaning the dirty linen\u201d every time for the sake of the common man. The council also acknowledged the initiatives taken by Nagaland Governor, P.B.
