Churches across the state also organised special Sunday morning service.&nbsp; <br \/>\nPoumai Baptist Church Kohima (PBCK) celebrated Father\u2019s day under the theme \u201cRole of a Godly father\u201d at its church Midland Kohima.<br \/>\nSpeaking on the theme based on the Bible verse, Ephesians 5:28, PBCK youth director, Khuvei, said a God loving father ought to love his wife as his own body and discipline his children in the fear of the Lord. <br \/>\nHe reminded the fathers that no father can be good or better father without accepting God into his life. Khuvei encouraged the fathers, as head of the family and as a Christian father, to led the whole family in the will of the Lord.<br \/>\nCiting the example from the bible, he said a God loving and fearing father should be bold as Joshua to declare that his family and household would stand for the Lord in all situations. He also reminded the fathers of their responsibilities while asked the children to love their father while they are still alive.&nbsp; The service was led by Jyoryna Lishemai, invocation prayer was said by Longsaola Kho, special songs dedicating to the fathers were presented by Sunday school children, Khongaolou Rosii, Vasty and sisters, offertory prayer by Helena Rova, ode to father was read by Kyaveine, special presentation by women department and intercessory prayer and special prayer for fathers was led by women chairperson, Esther. (Correspondent)<br \/>\n&nbsp;CBCMHK: Chakhesang Baptist Church Ministers\u2019 Hill Kohima (CBCMHK) celebrated \u201cFather\u2019s Day\u201d at the church premises under the theme, \u201cA father\u2019s instruction\u201d. In his message, theme speaker, CBCMHK Sr. Pastor, Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao, described fathers as the strength of home adding that the responsibility empowered upon them was \u201cwonderful and excellent\u201d.<br \/>\n&nbsp;He termed shouldering the responsibility of a father as one of the biggest responsibilities in world and added that progress and prosperity of a nation lies in the hands of a father. Urging upon the father not to exasperate their children rather to bring them up to the Almighty and in to the instruction of God, Rev. Dr. Vevo said a good family resembles each other but bad families went on its own tragic way. He therefore emphasized on moulding up the family with prayer, Bible reading and thanking God for the lives of family.<br \/>\nThe celebration was marked with colony-wise song competition comprising of 10 colonies, video display wishing the fathers, dedicatory song presentation, presentation of gifts to fathers, love sharing tea table etc. The worship service was led by Church Men\u2019s Fellowship chairperson, Vehusa Dzudo, deacon Mayhu Sasu invoked opening prayer, deacon Kedukhwe Curha pronounced offertory prayer, women group presented special song, head deacon Rhucho Tureng prayed for the fathers while ex-speaker, NLA, Z. Lohe read the Bible.<br \/>\nMHCC Kohima: Father\u2019s Day was celebrated at Mary Help of Christian Church, Cathedral Parish, Kohima with Rev. Fr. Johnny Padinjareporiyath, the outgoing assistant parish priest, as the main celebrant for the Holy Mass during which special prayers were offered for all fathers. <br \/>\nIn his message, Rev. Fr. Johnny thanked and assured prayers to all the fathers. He referred the liturgical feast of Corpse Christi, (the body and blood of Jesus) which coincided with the Father\u2019s Day celebration.&nbsp; Rev. Fr. Johnny explained the significance, the belief in the body and blood of Jesus Christ\u2019s real presence in the Eucharist. He said that Christian life should be nourished with the reception of the Holy Eucharist, word of God and prayers.&nbsp; He exhorted the congregation that many may experience Jesus in the daily encounter with others and more particularly in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.&nbsp; Felicitation songs were performed by the mothers association while youth and catechism children of Cathedral parish expressed gratitude to the fathers. Over hundred fathers joined the celebration. The fathers were presented gifts.<br \/>\n&nbsp;SXCCK: Father\u2019s Day was celebrated at St Xavier\u2019s Catholic Church Kidima (SXCCK) with director of Eden Garden, Children Home, Khuzama Rev. Fr. Raymond D\u2019Souza at church premises.<br \/>\nIn his message, Rev. Fr. Raymond said the church was celebrating the body and blood of Jesus feast which nourishes and gives new life. He appealed the fathers to love and care for their children and family. <br \/>\nRev. Fr. Raymond also asked the children to respect, obey, love, pray and support their parents and thus make God happy. He also urged the large congregation to give peace, joy and love to the children as God would provide the necessities of life.<br \/>\nChanting of praise and glory to the Lord, confession, and Eucharist celebration were highlights of the day. Special song was sung by Vivotsole Rufina and friends. Felicitation to fathers was presented by Kidima Catholic Youth Association.
