{"id":32331,"date":"2017-06-18T00:02:53","date_gmt":"2017-06-18T00:02:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2017\/06\/18\/wssu-seeks-cms-intervention-on-bad-roads\/"},"modified":"2017-06-18T00:02:53","modified_gmt":"2017-06-18T00:02:53","slug":"wssu-seeks-cms-intervention-on-bad-roads","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2017\/06\/18\/wssu-seeks-cms-intervention-on-bad-roads\/","title":{"rendered":"WSSU seeks  CM\u2019s intervention on bad roads"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/><span style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #ff0000;\">SERVES 10-DAY DEADLINE<\/span><br \/>\nWestern Sumi Students\u2019 Union (WSSU) has drawn the attention of the state chief minister towards the deplorable condition of the roads in Dimapur particularly the stretch of road from Nagaland Gate to Chumukedima (NH-29).<br \/>\nIn a representation submitted to the chief minister through the DC Dimapur, WSSU president, Nito Achumi, and general secretary, Angukato Yeptho, stated that the particular stretch of road, the lifeline of Nagaland and Manipur, needed immediate repairs and maintenance.<br \/>\nThe union has, therefore, requested the chief minister to intervene and do what was necessary within 10 days from the receipt of its representation. <br \/>\nFailing which, the union cautioned it would have no other option but to proceed with further course of action till legitimate demands were made. WSSU pointed out that there has been an unprecedented rise in accidents with many reported deaths due to pathetic road condition. <br \/>\nThe union expressed apprehension that the road was more likely to deteriorate during monsoon. <br \/>\nIt also stated that the \u201cgigantic potholes\u201d were also creating unending traffic jams making the lives of the people very difficult and miserable.
