Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the KMC office foundation laying stone programme, Dr. Liezietsu, admitted that he had no knowledge of Pillai\u2019s activities and frankly asserted: \u201cI cannot defend such cases.\u201d He said if required, an inquiry may be initiated soon. Dr. Liezietsu further reiterated that the department had already terminated Pillai\u2019s service.<\/span><\/div>\n<div>To queries as to why Pillai had been retained for so long in the department even after his retirement, the CM said he did not have any knowledge of the happenings in the police department even though he was in the ministry when Pillai was re-appointed as Consultant. &nbsp;When contacted, Home minister Y.
