{"id":324262,"date":"2023-01-28T01:25:50","date_gmt":"2023-01-27T19:55:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.com\/?p=324262"},"modified":"2023-01-28T01:25:53","modified_gmt":"2023-01-27T19:55:53","slug":"agencies-mandated-to-curb-use-of-money-power-in-election","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2023\/01\/28\/agencies-mandated-to-curb-use-of-money-power-in-election\/","title":{"rendered":"Agencies mandated to curb use of money-power in election"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the announcement of the schedule for the general election to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2023 by the Election Commission of India (ECI), the mandate for curbing use of money-power and various forms of inducements in elections have been vested with several enforcement agencies both central and state.<br>In a press release, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Nagaland V Shashank Shekhar informed that the Income Tax, Government of India, have formed surveillance teams, air intelligence units (AIU), rail intelligence unit (RUI) and set up 24&#215;7 Control Room for the purpose of effective monitoring of election expenditures of the candidates and for curbing the use of black money during the election process.<br>CEO informed that 24&#215;7 Control Room-cum Complaint Monitoring Cell has been set up at and Camp Office at Circuit House, Kohima.
