{"id":32562,"date":"2017-06-06T00:42:43","date_gmt":"2017-06-06T00:42:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2017\/06\/06\/human-animal-conflict-mitigation-awareness\/"},"modified":"2017-06-06T00:42:43","modified_gmt":"2017-06-06T00:42:43","slug":"human-animal-conflict-mitigation-awareness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2017\/06\/06\/human-animal-conflict-mitigation-awareness\/","title":{"rendered":"Human-Animal conflict mitigation awareness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/><\/p>\n<div>The Wildlife Division, Dimapur organised an awareness programme on Human-Animal Conflict Mitigation on the occasion of World Environment Day 2017, observed at Government Higher Secondary School, Chumukedima.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>The programme is part of Wildlife Divisions continuous campaign, \u201cMaximum awareness with effective enforcement\u201d and focuses on school\/college students to understand and value the importance of wildlife and grow up with the right mindset towards nature and wildlife.<\/div>\n<div>The officials of the Wildlife Wing explained to the participants about the threat to wildlife, its importance and their role in maintaining ecological balance and how to safeguard it from extinction. The officials appealed to teachers and students to be enthusiastic and contribute, involve and take action towards protection, preservation and conservation of wildlife so as to ensure its sustenance and continuity for the generations to come.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>The participants were also asked to focus on small action like switching off the lights, fans and electronic gadgets when not in use and proper disposal of garbage\u2019s etc for cleaner and safer environment.<\/div>\n<div>Principal thanked the department for taking the initiative and conducting the awareness programme in the school and asked the student to practise in real life whatever they have learned. The programme saw the participation of students from class VII-XII, teachers, lecturers\u2019, headmistress and principal beside officials and staff from Wildlife Division, Dimapur.
