The Phek District BJP conducted its 5th Executive Meeting on May 18 at Chizami Town Hall where all the five Mandals from the district\u2014 Pfutsero, Chizami, Chozuba, Phek and Meluri\u2014 attended the meeting. <\/div>\n
Several state BJP leaders, including State BJP president, Visasolie Lhoungu; advisor, Labour and Employment, Skills Development, Treasuries and Accounts, Dr. T.M Lotha and BJP state executive member Kevechutso Doulo, addressed party workers.<\/div>\n
Kevechutso Doulo, intending candidate from the 17th Chizami Assembly Constituency, said Chizami A\/C was the most vibrant and mature constituency.<\/div>\n
\u201c God\u2019s given time has come to change and developed the Phek District and particularly the 17th Chizami A\/C,\u201d he observed, adding that people should be determined for a change. <\/div>\n
He maintained that one cannot afford to continue to be stagnant in a vibrant society and, therefore, should create opportunities to happen. <\/div>\n
Doulo called upon the party men to work hard and be steadfast for all round development and be an agent of a change. <\/div>\n
\u201cBJP party is the only party that can deliver good governance for the welfare of the people,\u201d he maintained, and appealed the party workers not to be carred away by false rumours. Visasolie Lhoungu in his address said BJP was different from the other political party because it provides equal opportunity to every citizen of India. <\/div>\n
He stated that BJP was growing and blooming in every state and in Nagaland too. <\/div>\n
\u201cPeople are fed up of corruption and want the BJP government to meet the people expectation,\u201d he claimed. Accusing the opposition party for polarising the political issue with religion, Visasolie asserted that BJP was a secular political party where every party man was free to practise his\/her own choice of faith. <\/div>\n
\u201cA very good Christian can be a very good politician. Congress party have ever to worry because the BJP party is working hard to evaluate its performance to make India free from congress,\u201d he said in his tirade against the opposition parties.<\/div>\n
Dr. T.M Lotha called upon party workers to be prepared with as time was running short for the next general election.  The advisor assured that BJP party will form the next government and asked the people of Phek district, especially the 17th Chizami A\/C, to come out with its leader for the next government formation.<\/div>\n
He said that the whole state was changing and Chizami should be a part of the change.<\/div>\n
BJP is for development and unlike the Look East Policy of the previous government, BJP focuses on Act East Policy, he said.<\/div>\n
According to him, the Congress party had completely failed in all fronts, adding Congress party agenda was only to criticise the other political party. <\/div>\n
\u201cThere is no prescription for anybody to follow any religion. There is no restriction because India is a secular state. Christian faith cannot be questioned and compromised. As a BJP Christian, we should be a committed Christian and pray regularly for those who are misleading the people,\u201d the advisor stated in an attempt to assuage public concern over BJP\u2019s secular credentials. <\/div>\n
In the second session, Kulo Tsuzuh, vice president BJYM Nagaland presided over the business hour while Ananta Narayanan Mishra, organising secy. Nagaland, briefed the office bearers with 12 points to execute for party functioning.<\/div>\n
The programme was chaired by Vepasayi Resuh, vice president BJP, Phek and God\u2019s blessing was pronounced by Neilhikha Mero, Pastor CTBC.<\/div>\n
