Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates visited the Reserve Bank of India\u2019s office in Mumbai and held talks with RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das today. Bill Gates is currently on a trip to India to witness the progress made in various areas including climate change.

Last week, Bill Gates, in his personal blog, Gates Notes, wrote that he would be visiting India to check the progress the country has made over the years. \u201cI\u2019m headed back to India next week. Although I\u2019ve spent a lot of time there over the years\u2014doing everything from checking out toilets to visiting a village that\u2019s home to the one poorest, most underserved castes in India\u2014I haven\u2019t been back since before the pandemic. I can\u2019t wait to see how much progress has been made in that time,\u201d Gates wrote.
Touching upon climate change and global health, Bill Gate appreciated India\u2019s progress in solving various issues. He wrote, \u201cThere is no better proof than the remarkable progress that India has accomplished\u201d.
Saying that \u201cIndia as a whole gives me hope for the future\u201d, Bill Gates wrote that India is about to become the world\u2019s most populated country and yet it has \u201cproven it can tackle big challenges\u201d. He underlined that India eradicated polio, reduced poverty, lowered HIV transmission, and increased access to financial services and sanitation among other achievements.
Bill Gates further said he was \u201cgoing to India next week to see firsthand the work being done by innovators and entrepreneurs\u201d.
