\u201cAll That Breathes\u201d director Shaunak Sen says he has been flooded with messages of \u201cencouragement\/support\u201d after his climate change documentary lost out to \u201cNavalny\u201d at the Oscars.
\u201cNaatu Naatu\u201d from \u201cRRR\u201d and documentary film \u201cThe Elephant Whisperers\u201d emerged as winners in the Original Song and Documentary Short Film categories at the 95th Academy Awards, held in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Sen said his \u201cbrain is still to wrap around the fact that this is the end of this chapter\u201d for the film, which was nominated in the Documentary Feature Film segment.
\u201cSo many chin-uppy messages of encouragement\/support since yesterday. We were low for about an hour, but we\u2019re soon distracted into equanimity amidst the whirl of glittery people and things. Brain is still to wrap around the fact that this is the end of this chapter,\u201d the director wrote on Instagram alongside pictures with his team.
\u201cAll That Breathes\u201d is a Delhi-set documentary that follows two siblings, Mohammad Saud and Nadeem Shehzad, who have devoted their lives to rescuing and treating injured birds, especially black kites.
The critically-acclaimed documentary previously won the \u2018World Cinema Grand Jury Prize: Documentary\u2019 at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival and the Golden Eye award for the best documentary at the 2022 Cannes.
The film is yet to release in India and Sen said his next agenda is to figure out the distribution in the country.

At the Academy Awards, \u201cNaatu Naatu\u201d from SS Rajamouli\u2019s period action movie \u201cRRR\u201d won the Original Song trophy and Kartiki Gonsalves-directed \u201cThe Elephant Whisperers\u201d topped the Documentary Short Film category.
