The 30-year-old \u2018Wrecking Ball\u2019 singer\u2019s eighth album \u2018Endless Summer Vacation\u2019 contained the hit single \u2018Flowers\u2019, which set a string of streaming records and spent eight weeks at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100, becoming her second chart-topping song in the country, reports \u2018Female First UK\u2019.
But she told British Vogue about realising the moment will pass as soon as she was told in the Sunset Club at The West Hollywood Edition hotel that \u2018Flowers\u2019 was a chart-topper: \u201cI\u2019m sober. I don\u2019t drink, I don\u2019t, you know, but I celebrate.
\u201cIt\u2019s like 1 o\u2019clock in the morning and Lil Nas X walks into the club and he asks me the most interesting question. He said, \u201cAre you so anxious about how successful \u201cFlowers\u201d is? I was like, \u2018No. I might be No1 now, but No 2 is on its way.\u2019 Everything is seasonal\u201d.
She added about insisting on staying \u201chonest\u201d about her situation: \u201cA lot of headlines (recently) have said, \u2018This is Miley\u2019s moment.\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018That\u2019s exactly what it is. It\u2019s a moment. And it will be over.\u201d
She further mentioned, quoted by \u2018Female First UK\u2019, \u201cThat\u2019s not pessimistic. That\u2019s honest and that\u2019s OK with me. I actually prefer it. I don\u2019t like to stay big\u201d.
