{"id":35012,"date":"2017-05-06T22:56:43","date_gmt":"2017-05-06T22:56:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2017\/05\/06\/ngisrsc-uav-rs-training-concludes\/"},"modified":"2017-05-06T22:56:43","modified_gmt":"2017-05-06T22:56:43","slug":"ngisrsc-uav-rs-training-concludes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2017\/05\/06\/ngisrsc-uav-rs-training-concludes\/","title":{"rendered":"NGISRSC UAV-RS training concludes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/NEHZKUUVCSJFZSJDBOPO.jpg>Nagaland GIS &amp; Remote Sensing Centre (NGISRSC) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Remote Sensing (UAV-RS) six-day course for space application centers of North East region and Andhra Pradesh culminated on Saturday. <br \/>\nThe training a joint venture of North Eastern Space Application Centre (NESAC) and NGISRSC was held from May 1-6 under UAV-RS for the states of North Eastern Region (NER) at NGISRSC, Kohima Nagaland, stated a DIPR report. <br \/>\nThe main objective of the project was to develop UAV infrastructure in all the states remote sensing and space application centers of North Eastern states for utilization of UAV-RS technology in all developmental planning activities.<br \/>\nIn the concluding programme held at the Nagaland chief secretary\u2019s conference hall on Saturday, NESAC, PLN, director, Raju, presented an overview of the utilities of UAVs.<br \/>\nHe said UAVs can be used in enormous applications including, security and agricultural surveillance, landslide studies and a host of others.<br \/>\nWhile appreciating the advancement of the North East regions in the field from other regions of the country, he assured the continued support and assistance of the NESAC to the state as and when called for.<br \/>\nState chief secretary, Pankaj Kumar, gave a remark on the need and use of the UAV technology and adapting to the technological advancements. <br \/>\nHe encouraged the participants from the various states to communicate with one another for technology building and transfer, so that the whole North Eastern states would establish itself as a \u201ccluster of excellence\u201d. <br \/>\nKumar expressed hope that the training would go a long way in fulfilling the need of the region for the space application in planning and development. <br \/>\nHe further stated that the programme would be the beginning of a new venture. The chief secretary also appreciated NESAC for coming up with the initiative of such collaborative project and wished more of such programmes in the future.<br \/>\n20 participants (officers\/engineers\/scientists) from all the North Eastern states including Andhra Pradesh attended the training course. <br \/>\nThe concluding session of the training programme was chaired by project director, NGISRSC, Er. MhathungKithan, who also delivered the vote of thanks. Training Instructor, NGISRSC, Er.
