Describing as \u201csomething very detestable\u201d the ongoing violence between the two communities\u2014Meiteis and Kukis\u2014in Manipur, the NSCN (I-M) has warned against harassing Nagas in any manner.
NSCN (I-M) through its MIP stated that the attack against the place of human inhabitants (villages) was very inhuman. It also stated that burning down of places of worship (Churches) was considered as \u201csacrilegious acts\u201d committed on religious lines.
NSCN (I-M) asserted that all those acts of violence were violation of human rights that were applicable to all members of human society.
NSCN (I-M) sough to put on record that the Naga minor tribes\u2014Aimol, Chiru, Chothe, Kharam, Koireng and Kom\u2014were part of Naga community. It stated that those minor Naga tribes have been actively involved in the \u201cNagas\u2019 political struggle for their freedom from India and Myanmar till our goal is achieved.\u201d
\u201cOur Meitei brothers and Kukis should not take them otherwise and harass them in any manner,\u201d NSCN (I-M) said. It expressed regret that one Kom village (Kangathei village) had come under attack by Kuki militants and the villagers were forced to vacate their village. \u201cSuch vicious violence will only aggravate the situation and this must be put to stop forthwith for the sake of humanity and peaceful coexistence,\u201d NSCN (I-M) stated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
