{"id":35043,"date":"2017-05-05T00:20:59","date_gmt":"2017-05-05T00:20:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2017\/05\/05\/nnpgs-imtn-hold-joint-meeting\/"},"modified":"2017-05-05T00:20:59","modified_gmt":"2017-05-05T00:20:59","slug":"nnpgs-imtn-hold-joint-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2017\/05\/05\/nnpgs-imtn-hold-joint-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"NNPGs, IMTN  hold joint meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/><\/p>\n<div>Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) and the Indigenous Minority Tribes of Nagaland (IMTN), which met at the Oking on May 4, 2017, have affirmed that the Nagas of Nagaland must offer solidarity and maintain emotional integration with the rest of the Nagas in Indian states and beyond.<\/div>\n<div>In a joint statement, the NNPGs including GPRN\/NSCN (MB Neokpao\/N Kitovi Zhimomi), NSCN (Reformation), NNC [parent body (Z Royim\/V Nagi)], NNC\/NPGN (Hozheto\/Tsanthungo) and NNC\/GDRN (Kiumukam) and IMTN president, K Lun Tungnung, and general secretary, SK Khemprai, stated that the joint meeting was held to exchange views and opinions on the prevailing socio-political confronting the people of Nagaland.<\/div>\n<div>According to the joint statement, the NNPGs and IMTN maintained that the \u201cclear pronouncement\u201d of the government of India on the difficulties of Naga integration at a present time implied that the \u201cfuture generation mainland Nagas, their historical right and political aspiration, must be decided by the Nagas of Nagaland alone.\u201d They also stated that the Nagas were spread across India and Myanmar under different political administration and \u201ctherefore at this juncture of our existence, Nagas of Nagaland must offer solidarity and maintain emotional integration with the rest of the Nagas in Indian states and beyond.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>At the meeting, NNPGs acknowledged that the IMTN including Kuki, Garo, Kachari and Karbi (Mikir) have from the very beginning of the Naga political struggle shared the pain and suffering of the national political struggle with the rest of the tribes of Nagaland. \u201cThis fact of Naga history makes the indigenous tribes of Nagaland inseparable from the honourable political solution that is acceptable to the people of Nagaland,\u201d NNPGs stated.<\/div>\n<div>Meanwhile, IMTN also acknowledged the join statements issued by NNPGs and Nagaland GB Federation (NGBF) on March 9, 2017 and also on March 14 between NNPGs and ENPO with federating tribes, the NNPGs and CNTC.<\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) and the Indigenous Minority Tribes of Nagaland (IMTN), which met at the Oking on May 4, 2017, have affirmed that the Nagas of Nagaland must offer solidarity and maintain emotional integration with the rest of the Nagas in Indian states and beyond.
