{"id":35051,"date":"2017-05-04T23:59:15","date_gmt":"2017-05-04T23:59:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2017\/05\/04\/cs-laments-lack-of-extensive-training-in-state-services\/"},"modified":"2017-05-04T23:59:15","modified_gmt":"2017-05-04T23:59:15","slug":"cs-laments-lack-of-extensive-training-in-state-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2017\/05\/04\/cs-laments-lack-of-extensive-training-in-state-services\/","title":{"rendered":"CS laments lack of extensive training in state services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/HNDKLLKAIEWUJMETIVQK.jpg><\/p>\n<div>State chief secretary, Pankaj Kumar, has lamented that besides Nagaland Civil Services and Nagaland Secretariat Services there were a large number of state services that lacked structured and extensive training.<\/div>\n<div>He was speaking at the inaugural function of the first induction training for technical services on Thursday at Multipurpose Hall, Administrative Training Institute (ATI) as guest of honour.<\/div>\n<div>The chief secretary said that the induction training would aid the government servants to comprehend their roles and responsibilities. He reminded them that there are certain responsibilities and expectations government officials were expected to adhere to.<\/div>\n<div>Kumar was optimistic that the training would also equip the government servants\u2019 to bridge the gap between what was told and what was to be done in the field.<\/div>\n<div>The chief secretary said common induction programme would help in developing a sense of friendship which in turn would promote communication and co-ordination within and across the departments.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>He added that the training would make the trainees aware of the various laws, standards, norms and procedures of the government structure.<\/div>\n<div>On project management at various levels, the chief secretary called on the engineers to have their view of the projects in their own divisions and speak as and when required. He said this would enable them to see decisions at higher levels taken more in their way.<\/div>\n<div>In his address, director, ATI, Lithrongla G. Chishi, termed the training as the \u201cpet project\u201d of the chief secretary and appreciated his efforts in making the training for technical services a reality.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Lamenting the lack of resource persons for imparting the training, especially technical training in the state, she called on all the heads of departments to support ATI in its various training programmes by sending their officers for the same.<\/div>\n<div>Assuring that ATI would take the responsibility for training cadres from various fields and departments forward, she expressed hope that the induction programme would serve the need of the state in providing qualified and committed government servants.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>The director further suggested the P&amp;AR Department to issue notification to all Departments to nominate their officers recruited through NPSC for the induction training.<\/div>\n<div>The programme was chaired by Additional Director (Admn) ATI, Kevekha Kevin Zehol, NCS, who also delivered the welcome address.<\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>State chief secretary, Pankaj Kumar, has lamented that besides Nagaland Civil Services and Nagaland Secretariat Services there were a large number of state services that lacked structured and extensive training.
