{"id":35566,"date":"2017-04-10T00:46:17","date_gmt":"2017-04-10T00:46:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2017\/04\/10\/asu-biennial-general-conference-concludes-3\/"},"modified":"2017-04-10T00:46:17","modified_gmt":"2017-04-10T00:46:17","slug":"asu-biennial-general-conference-concludes-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2017\/04\/10\/asu-biennial-general-conference-concludes-3\/","title":{"rendered":"ASU biennial general conference concludes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>The three-day long 27th biennial general conference of Angami Students\u2019 Union (ASU) on the theme \u201cRealistic Response\u201d concluded at Centenary Compound, Jotsoma village under Kohima district on Sunday night.<br \/>\nIn his address as the valedictory speaker on the topic \u201cAffirmative Decision \u2013 Realistic Response\u201d, Chief Engineer of PWD (R&amp;B), Kros\u00fc Rhetso said it was very important for the students\u2019 community and younger generation to be affirmative in pursuing their goals. He said that as youngsters they should \u2018never give up\u2019 but have the attitude of striving hard to achieve success.<br \/>\nHe pointed that in the past all qualified used to get job opportunities, but the present generation was for the survival of the fittest as avenues in government sectors have saturated while there was heavy competition in the private sector. Er. Kros\u00fc reminded that&nbsp; opportunity does come in one\u2019s lifetime, but it all depended on whether we were giving realistic response to the opportunity, and while also encouraging the youngsters to make the right decision and pursue it with dedication and hard-work to become successful.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, new team of ASU office bearers for the tenure 2017-2019 with Visako Rino from Chakhro Students\u2019 Union as president and Vizhokho Zash\u00fcmo from Southern ASU as general secretary to lead the 15 member team was also declared by ASU Election Commissioner Puthuto Natso.<br \/>\nASU assembly secretariat has Kekhrievituo Dahuo from Western ASU as speaker Teisovi Thorie from SASU as deputy speaker and Vizovo Yongo, SASU as secretary.<br \/>\nChaired by vice president Zekuseto Natso the valedictory session commenced with asst. pastor of Baptist Church Jotsoma, Rokosieto Nakhro delivered invocation while special number was presented by Zhavinuo Pielie.<br \/>\nOrganising Committee convener Kelhouneizo Yhome felicitated the guests and senior ASU leaders and dignitaries while organising committee member Abei Thepa tendered the vote of thanks.&nbsp;&nbsp; <br \/>\nEarlier, in the morning devotional session Rev.
