{"id":35571,"date":"2017-04-10T00:31:55","date_gmt":"2017-04-10T00:31:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2017\/04\/10\/papo-adopts-10-point-resolution\/"},"modified":"2017-04-10T00:31:55","modified_gmt":"2017-04-10T00:31:55","slug":"papo-adopts-10-point-resolution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2017\/04\/10\/papo-adopts-10-point-resolution\/","title":{"rendered":"PAPO adopts 10-point resolution"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>After a thorough deliberation on various issues faced by the people of Phek area with regard to development, the Phek Area Public Organization (PAPO) adopted a 10-point resolution following an approval by the members at the consultative meeting held on April 6 at Khuzo town.<br \/>\nPAPO president Vezhehu Vero and general secretary Zhechete Makrisuh stated that since the people of the area were divided and spread over three constituencies- Phek, Meluri and Chizami, it would support the move to bring together the area under one assembly constituency as and when delimitation takes place. <br \/>\nThe consultative meeting also resolved to support and encourage \u201cclean election campaign\u201d initiated by CBCC. <br \/>\nIn this regard, the organization appealed to all its affiliated units to extend support. It was also decided to encourage good and upright leadership for which all constituent units should extend support without any ism or bias. <br \/>\nTo maintain unity, integrity and fraternity of the area was also one of the points adopted by PAPO.<br \/>\nIt therefore, discouraged any deed or action which would hamper or disturb the peaceful co-existence of the people. <br \/>\nThe resolution also stated that any dispute(s) between different villages under PAPO jurisdiction should be first brought to PAPO\u2019s notice to find a solution which should be strictly adhered. <br \/>\n&nbsp;Phek Area Public Organization also resolved to abide by the decision of CPO to ban hunting and fishing in order to preserve the ecological balance and preserve the flora and fauna. <br \/>\nAlso, claiming that the fund meant for backward area had not reached the people under Meluri A\/C for many years, PAPO resolved to fight till the fund reached the people.&nbsp; <br \/>\nThe organization urged State disaster management authority to release the Rs. 12,26,65,700 released by National Disaster Management Authority on March 9, 2016 meant for Phek district. <br \/>\nIn a reminder, the organization has appealed State government to sanction independent EAC post to EAC Hq Khuza along with infrastructure development. <br \/>\nFurther, to develop the area, PAPO and all its constituent units resolve to help, support and uplift one another and extend special support to the weaker and less developed villages.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After a thorough deliberation on various issues faced by the people of Phek area with regard to development, the Phek Area Public Organization (PAPO) adopted a 10-point resolution following an approval by the members at the consultative meeting held on April 6 at Khuzo town.
