She encouraged the staff to keep the ASHAs informed and updated as they were accessible to both the patient and the doctors. Dr. Ayangla also asked the staff to counsel leprosy patients after every treatment as leprosy could be cured after taking MDT for 6 months and 12 months. A demonstration on how to detect leprosy was also given by Dr. Ayangla. The training was attended by all the BMW health workers of Longleng District Hospital.
