{"id":35660,"date":"2017-04-06T23:31:15","date_gmt":"2017-04-06T23:31:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2017\/04\/06\/legal-orientation-training-for-pls-plvs-in-tuensang\/"},"modified":"2017-04-06T23:31:15","modified_gmt":"2017-04-06T23:31:15","slug":"legal-orientation-training-for-pls-plvs-in-tuensang","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2017\/04\/06\/legal-orientation-training-for-pls-plvs-in-tuensang\/","title":{"rendered":"Legal orientation training for PLs, PLVs in Tuensang"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/LGTXXPFMDPVDDULBJFFX.jpg><\/p>\n<div>One day training-cum-orientation programme for Panel Lawyers (PLs) and Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) organised by District Legal Services Authority, (DLSA) Tuensang under the aegis of Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) on April 1 at NAVINN Conference Hall.<\/div>\n<div>In the training, session judge &amp; chairman of Tuensang DLSA, Mayang Lima, while speaking on Do\u2019s &amp; Don\u2019ts, said that as a citizen of a democratic country, one stand on three pillars i.e. legislation, executive and judiciary.<\/div>\n<div>He said unless the set up works properly it gives rooms for corruption resulting in non-availability and improper implementation of laws and welfare schemes, poor governance, bad road, etc.<\/div>\n<div>Lima said PLVs are selected by legal services authority so that they could assist and guide the common man with the basic constitutional guarantee and assurance enshrined in the constitution of India. He said it was the duty of the PLVs to sit in the 24 Legal Aid Clinic setup within Tuensang district to render services to the legal aid seekers.<\/div>\n<div>Yimtsusangla Chang, retainer lawyer, Tuensang DLSA initiated practical session on Do\u2019s &amp; Don\u2019ts of Panel lawyers and PLVs. Practical on writing petition\/complaint\/FIR &nbsp;was presented by Tongpang L. Jamir, master trainer (PL), NSLSA. Role Play on Crimes against Women\/Children, Human Trafficking and role play by a PLV was coordinated by Akumla Longchari, master trainer (PL), NSLSA.<\/div>\n<div>L. Likhase Sangtam, retainer lawyer, Kiphire DLSA conducted &nbsp;interaction on Motor Vehicle Accident Claims\/Cases and explained the role of a PLV in such cases and also apprised the trainee on Prisoner Rights and Legal Services.<\/div>\n<div>Maintenance of Record\/PLV register\/filing of success stories was presented by M. Glory Sema, panel lawyer, NSLSA and group discussion on NALSA schemes was chaired by Yimtsusangla Chang, retainer lawyer, Tuensang.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Welcome address was extended by Antimongyang, panel lawyer of Tuensang DLSA and the session began with ice breaking method initiated by Akumla Longchari.
