{"id":35997,"date":"2017-03-22T00:10:44","date_gmt":"2017-03-22T00:10:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2017\/03\/22\/sanitation-day-observed-at-zapami-village\/"},"modified":"2017-03-22T00:10:44","modified_gmt":"2017-03-22T00:10:44","slug":"sanitation-day-observed-at-zapami-village","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2017\/03\/22\/sanitation-day-observed-at-zapami-village\/","title":{"rendered":"Sanitation day observed at Zapami village"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/><\/p>\n<div>Zapami village under Phek district observed its yearly village sanitation day on March 16, to commemorate the Nirman Gram Purushkar (NGP) Award received by the village during 2009-10 from the government of India for achieving total sanitation coverage status.<\/div>\n<div>In a press note, WATSAN (Water and Sanitation) chairman Kedou Wetsah stated that this year, the sanitation day was observed through poster campaign and mass social work involving the whole village community.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>The village roads, drains, community toilets, footpaths were cleaned.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Household wise cleanliness competition was also conducted for the 4 colonies of the village. The 3 cleanest families from each colony were given citations and prizes.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Kedulhi-u Wetsah family from the Kethuku colony was adjudged as the overall cleanest family in the village for this year.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Around 550 villagers participated in the sanitation day.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>WATSAN committee and village council expressed its appreciation to the executive director WSSO, PHED Nagaland for the unflinching supports towards village sanitation campaign.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Zapami village under Phek district observed its yearly village sanitation day on March 16, to commemorate the Nirman Gram Purushkar (NGP) Award received by the village during 2009-10 from the government of India for achieving total sanitation coverage status.
