{"id":37999,"date":"2017-03-10T00:37:11","date_gmt":"2017-03-10T00:37:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2017\/03\/10\/amend-repeal-nm-act-revoke-nla-resolution-jcc-and-ntac-demand\/"},"modified":"2017-03-10T00:37:11","modified_gmt":"2017-03-10T00:37:11","slug":"amend-repeal-nm-act-revoke-nla-resolution-jcc-and-ntac-demand","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2017\/03\/10\/amend-repeal-nm-act-revoke-nla-resolution-jcc-and-ntac-demand\/","title":{"rendered":"Amend, repeal NM Act; revoke NLA resolution: JCC and NTAC demand"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/><\/p>\n<div>Nagaland Tribes Action Committee (NTAC) and Joint Co-ordination Committee (JCC) have urged upon chief minister Dr. Sh\u00fcrhozelie Lieziets\u00fc to amend\/ repeal the Nagaland Municipal Act, 2001 by constituting a committee\/law commission to recommend amendment or repeal of the above Act within three months and during which, no election to ULBs in Nagaland be held \u201cin the best interest of all concerned.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>The joint memorandum signed by NTAC convenor K.T Vilie and and JCC convenor Supu Jamir was submitted to the chief minister on Thursday.<\/div>\n<div>The memorandum reminded that the recent unrest and turmoil arose because of holding elections to Urban and Local Bodies (ULBs) resulting in loss of lives and huge loss to government.
