{"id":38111,"date":"2017-03-05T00:49:38","date_gmt":"2017-03-05T00:49:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2017\/03\/05\/jcc-slams-t-r-zeliangs-minority-card\/"},"modified":"2017-03-05T00:49:38","modified_gmt":"2017-03-05T00:49:38","slug":"jcc-slams-t-r-zeliangs-minority-card","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2017\/03\/05\/jcc-slams-t-r-zeliangs-minority-card\/","title":{"rendered":"JCC slams T.R.Zeliang\u2019s minority card"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/><\/p>\n<div>Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) has reminded that its objective would be pursued with determination with regard to the demand for justice after various incidents beginning from January 31,2017 onwards.<\/div>\n<div>Turning on the heat on former chief minister T.R.Zeliang, Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) has said his \u201cutter lack of remorse\u201d shown while rejecting any moral responsibility for the entire unfortunate incidents by portraying himself as a victim of majoritarian politics \u201c.<\/div>\n<div>JCC media cell said this was \u201c intolerable\u201d and showed T.R. Zeliang\u2019s \u201csheer disregard and insensitivity for the two departed youths, who lost their lives because of his flip flop decisions and treachery.\u201d&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>JCC said it was unbecoming of a true statesmanship and leadership to divert and politicise the entire disastrous episode as being about minority versus majority politics and trying to absolve himself of any responsibility for consequences of the government decisions.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>JCC condemned \u201csuch cheap minority card played by T.R.Zeliang and his supporters adding it was nothing but \u201c a foul and insincere attempt to blemish the Naga people\u2019s movement to protect Article 371A and shift the blame to the people of Nagaland.\u201d&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Further, JCC said it stood by the decision of the Diphupar Village Council that under no circumstance would it allow the post of chief minister to be \u201cgiven back to T.R.Zeliang, as it would be a sacrilege to the Naga people as a whole.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>JCC also demanded that a Joint Inquiry Commission (JIC) be set up to hold impartial investigation and bring out the facts of the matter to its logical conclusion and for which it will continue to strive for.<\/div>\n<div>JCC also said it also reiterated the demand and resolution adopted at the March 3,2017 meeting at Tourist Lodge Dimapur, that the DC Longleng be immediately placed under suspension including police personnel involved in the indiscriminate firing on January 31 within seven(7) days from the date of submission of the representation.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Meanwhile, the inference about T.R.Zeliang likely to be a contender for returning back as chief minister stems from the purported statements made in recent days by chief minister Dr.Sh\u00fcrhozelie of not being inclined to remain in office very long. On some occasion, Dr.Sh\u00fcrhozelie had confided that he had reluctantly taken up the responsibility and would be around only for a few months.<\/div>\n<div>Chief Minister Dr.Sh\u00fcrhozelie who was sworn-in on February 22,2017 will have to become a member of the assembly within six months or by August 2017.<\/div>\n<div>If he is to contest, then Dr.Sh\u00fcrhozelie would have to stand from his old constituency -10 Northern Angami \u2013I which is currently being represented by his son Khriehu Lieziets\u00fc parliamentary secretary Lottery and MTF.
