On the occasion of \u201cWorld Post Day\u201d, the office of the Postmaster General, NE-II Region Dimapur held a programme in Dimapur on Monday where four staffs from Nagaland Postal division were honoured for their outstanding performance and devotion to duty on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to OSD to PMG, NE-II, Dimapur, K.Z. Dolf, the officials were Kekhriezetuo Solo, (Assistant Postmaster (Mails) Kohima HO), Y. K. Magar (Postman, Dimapur Bazar SO), Simon Zeliang (Postman, Chumukedima SO) and M. Khentsumew (Branch Post Master, Pungro BO)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking on the occasion, the Postmaster General, NE- II Region, Som Kamei (IPoS) spoke on the various activities being lined-up for the National Postal Week 2023.
The department will observe \u201cVittiya Sashaktikaram Diwas\u201d on October 10, a Dak Community Development Programme is being organized at Mokokchung with active participation of all stakeholders from Central, State and local government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPhilately Day\u201d on October 11, a national level letter writing competition on \u201cDhai Akhar\u201d on the theme \u201cDigital India for New India\u201d will be held at Pfutsero. \u201cMails and Parcels Day\u201d on October 12, a bulk customer meet with corporate customers, couriers service providers, Central & State government departments will be held in Kohima.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAntyodaya Diwas\u201d on October 13, a financial literacy campaign on Post Office Saving banks, Direct Benefit Transfer, Social Security Pensions, Jan Suraksha Scheme, Sukanya Smariddhi Accounts, AePS and other products and services of Department of Posts will be held in Dimapur MDG complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It may be mentioned that department of Posts celebrates \u201cNational Postal Week\u201d every year, starting with \u201cWorld Post Day\u201d on October 9, the anniversary of the establishment of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) in 1874.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
