Acharya over the complete breakdown of constitutional machinery in the state.<\/div>\n<div>In a joint memorandum NTAC and JCC said the representatives called on the Governor on Friday afternoon to apprise him on the present situation.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;NTAC and JCC said all the government offices have not been functioning for the last eight days.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>They said this demonstrated total failure of governance in the state, as untold hardships were being faced by the people.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>NTAC and JCC went on to remind the Governor of his February 3 assurance- to punish the wrongdoers as per Constitution.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>They however expressed dismay that the Governor failed to carry out any action, despite the fact that chief minister, T.R. Zeliang himself had \u201cadmitted his wrong deeds and apologized on behalf of the government through mass media on February 8, 2017.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>They said \u201cthe seat of the chief minister is honorable and fit only for virtuous and not for a wrongdoer.,\u201d&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Nagaland Tribes Action Committee and Joint Coordination Committee also apprised the Governor of three lives in total that were lost and injury to several others, while 24 government offices were razed to the ground causing huge loss to public property.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>They said that despite all these, TR Zeliang as chief minister, remained adamant and refused to listen to the voices of the people by stepping down from the chair.<\/div>\n<div>Considering the volatile law and order situation in the state, the two committees said \u201cit was high time for your honour to intervene and to take immediate action as has been assured by you on the February 3, 2017.\u201d&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>The memorandum was appended by NTAC convenor K.T. Vilie; NTAC secretary, C.T. Jamir and JCC convenor, Supu Jamir.
