The 2nd Patkai Badminton Open Tournament 2023, organised by the Patkai Badminton Club (PBC), Patkai Christian College (Autonomous) was held from October 27 to 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A press release by PCC mass communication department stated that A total of 15 teams, consisting of 12 men\u2019s and 3 women\u2019s doubles teams, participated in the tournament held at the Dr. H Ibotombi Singh Patkai Indoor Stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the women\u2019s doubles final on October 28, Serve Aces Team, represented by Iciheile Hieme & Kungwiliu Ntung, defeated the Bye Bye team, consisting of Kelevino Rungsung & Zudao Newmai, with a score of 21-12 and 21-13.
The men\u2019s doubles final, Shuttle Maestros\u2019 duo, Dr. Eniro Murry & Rokosito Khro prevailed over Simple Synergy\u2019s pair, Limasanen I Imsong and David Rungsung with a score of 21-12 and 21-14 to emerge champions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier on October 27, guest of honour, Dr. Dakter Esse Jamir, Head of the Department of Mass Communication at PCC (A), officially inaugurated the tournament. Dr Jamir emphasized the energetic and unifying qualities of sports and encouraged all participants to exhibit good sportsmanship and camaraderie throughout the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Additionally, the President of PBC Limasanen I. Imsong highlighted the club\u2019s activities in his welcome speech. The opening ceremony also featured a musical performance by Atuna Shikhu, the winner of the Magnum Opus VIII Original Singing Competition in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
