{"id":387076,"date":"2023-11-04T01:58:44","date_gmt":"2023-11-03T20:28:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.com\/?p=387076"},"modified":"2023-11-04T01:58:48","modified_gmt":"2023-11-03T20:28:48","slug":"12-encroachers-get-show-cause-notices-to-clear-path-for-drainages-in-dimapur","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2023\/11\/04\/12-encroachers-get-show-cause-notices-to-clear-path-for-drainages-in-dimapur\/","title":{"rendered":"12 encroachers get show cause notices to clear path for drainages in Dimapur"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a significant move aimed against encroachments at Dimapur which are affecting drainage system, the Dimapur district administration has served show cause notices on 12 encroachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>This comes after Zhaleo Rio, adviser Municipal Affairs and Urban Development department had earlier issued instructions on DC Dimapur to ensure unauthorised occupation or encroachment of public places are removed forthwith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Speaking exclusively to Nagaland Post, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dimapur, Dr Tinojongshi Chang disclosed that the show cause notices were served to the 12 parties by his predecessor Sachin Jaiswal. He said while the district administration is pursuing eviction of encroached areas,yet no specific date for eviction was finalised.<br>Chang revealed that one of the affected parties had taken the matter to court subsequent to being served with the show cause notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>He said some parties had also approached the district administration, seeking time to remove their infrastructure which blocked the flow of water in the drains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>He stated that a meeting was held at the DC conference hall here Friday during which officials from district administration and law enforcement agencies and legal advisers drew up lnas for eviction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Naga Council urges DC, DMC to implement directive for Dimapur<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has appealed to the deputy commissioner (DC) Dimapur and Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) administrator to immediately implement the advisor urban development and municipal affairs, Zhaleo Rio\u2019s directive for taking up the needed development in Dimapur town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>NCD vice president (Adm) Holuto Aye and general secretary LK Peter Anal urged DC to order removal of all temporary, illegal and unauthorised structures of shops\/vendors in Dimapur particularly below Dimapur railway fly-over and develop a place for systematised vehicle parking lot for market customers in Dimapur. NCD also urged DC to order removal of all illegal and temporarily constructed vendors in Dimapur along the roads, Hongkong Market area and construct standard footpaths for convenient movement of commuters on foot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Further, NCD appealed for constructing a well-engineered drainage system in Dimapur city to have clog-free water flow during raining season. NCD said that advisor Zhaleo\u2019s vision for developmental programmes, projects and initiatives in Dimapur should not go unnoticed in the record.
