Athrong Yimkhiung, who represented India at the recently held I Compete Natural (ICN) in Bali, Indonesia and won medals arrived Dimapur here on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Athrong Yimkhuing, who hails from Peren Town brought honour to Nagaland by securing silver in the street model, 4th position in Men\u2019s Physique and 5th position in Men\u2019s Physique under 70 kg. The event was an open competition in various categories such as natural fitness modelling, bodybuilding, figure, physique, bikini and fashion. Speaking to Nagaland Post on his arrival, at Dimapur Airport, Yimkhiung while mentioning about his participation said that he was informed by the ICN president to represent the state, avail the opportunity and compete with the others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said that his dreams were always been to represent India in body building and make the state and particularly his community proud. He attributed his success to God, his community, Youth Resource and Sports and the government for the support. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said that such support will uplift the young sports personalities to go forefront to represent the country, state, community and bring laurel. He lamented although there are so many young athletes, fitness enthusiasts, but failed to represent or fulfil their dreams because of financial constraint and support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Expressing his message to the youngsters, he encouraged them not to give up but continue to believe and focus in the goal till they achieve. On his future plans, Yimkhiung said he would look forward to be acknowledged by the state government for recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also mentioned about his participation at the ICN last year on November 5, which was held at Mumbai, where he won second position in men\u2019s runway model and 4th place in men\u2019s physique.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
