Dr. James Thoppil, Bishop of Kohima as main celebrant.<\/div>\n<div>Bishop during his reflection said forces for good and evil were in mortal conflict everywhere and around us. He said that the enormity and magnitude of human miseries caused by hunger and disease due to exploitation, murderous rape, terrorist attacks, exploitation of the poor for profit by the rich and cold blooded ethnic violence and cleansing, some in the name of God and religion has disturbed all beyond measure.<\/div>\n<div>Challenging the congregation to be true disciples of Christ, he also had hope that Jesus, the greatest force for good would lead us to the year 2017.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>The midnight celebration at Holy Cross ended with placing the child Jesus in the crib with a solemn procession and prayer. At the Cathedral Church, after the solemn mass the community gathered in the ground to share the common Christmas meal sponsored by Francis Belho and family. Special prayer was invoked by the bishop, followed by cutting of the large Christmas cake by the sponsoring family members, special carol singing by the Holy Childhood children.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>JSS: Janjati Shiksha Samiti (Vidya Bharati), Nagaland also celebrated Christmas simultaneously with the 93rd birthday of ex-prime minister Bharat Ratn Atal Bihari Vajpayi on December 24 in the premises of VB Infants Digital Home Class Hall at Kevijau Village of Dimapur. Org. secretary Pankaj Sinha greeted the people of Nagaland and that Jesus would guide all for better health and brighter future of Nagaland. He also explained the life of Atal Bihari Vajapayi as a great patriot, poet, literature, political leader, speaker and great person of the country. Asim Sarakar sang a song of Atal and Pramod Singh recited many thoughts of Atal ji. Uttam Singh, Dudh Singh and Subroto Das also greeted Merry Christmas. The special cake was dedicated in the name of God Jesus and ex-prime minister Atal Bihari Vajapayi.<\/div>\n<div>Six NNPGs: A joint press note by six Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs), ato kilonser GPRN\/NSCN convener NNPGs working group, N. Kitovi Zhimomi; president NSCN (R) co-convener &nbsp;Wangtin Naga; general secretary NNC\/FGN (N\/A) co-convener, V. Nagi; &nbsp; Kedallo, FGN\/NNC, co-convener Zhopra Vero; ato kilonser, NNC\/NPGN, co-convener Hozheto Chophy and ato kilonser, NNC\/GDRN, co- convener Hetoi Chophy stated that it was \u201cour prayer that the Lord of all nations, the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob would guide and bless the Naga people with renewed hope and vision towards our common objective\u201d.
