After traversing through the districts of Dimapur, Chumoukedima, Jalukie and Tseminyu and reaching out to a number of people during the last four days, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) Urban campaign reached Wokha district on December 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to PIB Kohima, the event was organized at the District Fisheries Office premises, Wokha town and attended by administrator Wokha Town Council and ADC Wokha K Furhesie Nyumi as chief guest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ADC also administered the VBSY pledge to the gathering. In his speech, Nyumi said the main purpose of the VBSY campaign was to create awareness among the masses about the Central government welfare Schemes and to reach out to the remotest part of the country to ensure saturation of the schemes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He urged the public to take advantage of the welfare schemes being provided by the government. Urban Development Officer, Kiniholi Kinimi spoke on the schemes implemented by the Urban Development Department in the district. She also explained the PM-SVANidhi scheme, PM Vishwakarma and DAY-NULM and SEP-I (Self Employment Programme \u2013 Individual) to the gathering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the programme, beneficiaries of several welfare schemes shared their experiences and advantages of availing Central government Schemes. Videos on flagship programmes and address by Prime Minister Narendra Modi were screened through the VBSY IEC van.
