{"id":401128,"date":"2024-01-24T00:45:21","date_gmt":"2024-01-23T19:15:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.com\/?p=401128"},"modified":"2024-01-24T00:45:26","modified_gmt":"2024-01-23T19:15:26","slug":"atma-blocks-conduct-various-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2024\/01\/24\/atma-blocks-conduct-various-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"ATMA blocks conduct various programme"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>With an aim to enhance agriculture productivity, Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) conducted demonstrations on farm machineries, awareness programmes, etc across the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Zunheboto:<\/strong> ATMA Zunheboto in association with State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI), Nagaland and National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad organised Skill Training of Rural Youth (STRY) programme on \u201cMushroom Production Techniques\u201d on January 15-20 at Lazami Village under Ghathashi block.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>At the inaugural day, delivering the keynote address, deputy project director, Vikaho Chophy said that the programme was aimed to impart skill-based training to rural youth on agri-based vocational areas in compliance with National Policy Skills Development and Entrepreneurship-2015 in agriculture and allied areas to promote employment in rural areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Resource persons for the programme were BTM, Wellson Shitio and ATMs Kerilhoulie Rulu and Vivitoli. The training covered technical sessions on introduction, concepts, procedure and demonstration on Oyster mushroom production.<br>In a separate event, deputy project director inaugurated \u201cIntegrated Farm School\u201d and assigned Qhujuli as farm teacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Chukitong: <\/strong>ATMA Wokha, Chukitong block established a farm school on sugarcane on January 16 at Longla Village, Wokha. During the programme, the chairperson, Zuthunglo Erui gave a detailed introduction on the concept of farm school and its significance in farming. Zachamo B Humtsoe conducted training on cultivation practices in sugarcane and Shanjothung Kikon gave training on disease and pest identification and management. Altogether 11 farmers and three ATMA officials along with BTT convenor attended the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><br>Longsachung: <\/strong>ATMA Wokha block established a coffee farm school on January 16 at Satsuphen, Longsachung Village. During the programme, the chairperson, BTM Wokha block, M. Yanthungo Ngullie gave a detailed introduction on the concept of farm School and its significance. Training on packages and practices on coffee plantations was imparted by ATM Wokha Nzani Kikon. Libeno Ezung, a progressive coffee farmer, was appointed as farm school teacher.
