Titans XI and Friends Club won their respective matches during the last quarter final matches of the ongoing 13th Lotha Football Championship on Monday at local ground Wokha. In the 3rd quarter final match, Titans XI defeated Vipers Football Club 4-3 in a penalty shootout after the match ended in a 1-1 draw. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vipers got an early break in the 5th minute when Suben Ngullie scored just outside the penalty box to give their team a lead. However, Titans came back strong in the second half and scored the equalising goal in the 80th which came from the boots of Arroy Ngullie in the 80th minute of the game. The match was decided through a tie-breaker and Titans XI won the match 4-3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Playing the last quarter final match, Friends Club defeated Airfield Football Club 1-0 to enter the semi-finals. Zuben scored the lone and winning goal for Friends Club in the 10th minute of the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reconciling the regrettable incident that unfolded during the second quarter final match between Englan Range Sports Association (ERSA) and Niro Range Sports Association (NRSA) on January 27, the suspended players and team management of NRSA & ERSA took part in exchange of flowers during the quarter final on January 29 at the public ground Wokha as a show of forgiveness and mutual respect towards the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The last quarter final match saw the presence of Joint Director School Education (Retd.) and ex- Congress candidate 38 A\/C, Wopen Tungoe as the match patron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
