{"id":403166,"date":"2024-02-05T01:57:31","date_gmt":"2024-02-04T20:27:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.com\/?p=403166"},"modified":"2024-02-05T01:58:07","modified_gmt":"2024-02-04T20:28:07","slug":"induction-training-of-urban-ashas-held-in-dimapur","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2024\/02\/05\/induction-training-of-urban-ashas-held-in-dimapur\/","title":{"rendered":"Induction training of Urban ASHAs held in Dimapur"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A five-day, Induction Training for Urban ASHAs under National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) was conducted from January 30 to February 3, at the Conference Hall of CMO\u2019s Office Dimapur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>During the five-day training, the ASHAs were oriented on the essential skills and activities of ASHAs, care and management of newborn child, common childhood problems and assessing a sick child, identifying and management of an asphyxiated baby at birth, diagnosing neonatal sepsis, management of Diarrheal Disease, and home-based neonatal care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>The training also included practical classes where the ASHAs were trained to use weighing scale and thermometer on a newborn child on how to wrap a newborn child, and how to prepare a quick ORS at home. The resource person also demonstrated how an ASHA should introduce herself to a new family in her locality. Resource persons were Senior Programme Manager (Community Process), and Urban Consultant Kohima Suponglemla.
